1. Definitions
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of Electrical Services by Voltikon ("Service Provider," "We," "Our," "Us") to the client ("Client," "You"). By engaging in our electrical services, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Acceptance
1. Any instruction provided to the Service Provider by the Client to proceed with the work, or any act of acceptance (verbal, written, or implied) shall be deemed as confirmation of the Client’s full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Where this agreement is entered into by more than one Client, all parties shall be jointly and severally liable for all obligations under this agreement, including payment of the price of the service.
3. Once accepted, these terms and conditions shall be binding and may only be varied by mutual written agreement.
4. No employee, agent, or representative of Voltikon is authorised to make any representations or provide assurances not expressly confirmed in writing by an authorised officer of the Company.
3. Scope of Installation Work
1. All electrical installation work will be performed in accordance with relevant standards and regulations in force at the time of execution, including any applicable amendments.
2. Where the scope of work includes alterations or extensions to existing installations, it is assumed that such installations are compliant with current standards. If deficiencies are identified, rectification work will be treated as a variation and charged accordingly.
3. Unless otherwise specified, all wiring shall be concealed within the structure of the building where practicable. Where concealment is not feasible, surface-mounted containment systems (e.g., trunking or conduit) will be installed in a neat and orderly fashion.
4. The Company will endeavour to maintain a clean working environment throughout the installation period.
5. The estimated duration of works shall be specified within the contract, whether measurable or not.
6. The Customer shall provide access to mains power and potable water at no cost for the duration of the project.
4. Hazardous Materials
Unless specifically stated, all pricing is provided on the assumption that the site is free of hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos). The Client shall bear full responsibility for addressing any such issues, including associated delays and costs incurred by the Service Provider as a result.
5. Site Access
The Service Providers pricing and scheduling assume unimpeded access to all necessary work areas for the duration of the project. Any obstruction or delay caused by restricted access may result in additional charges.
6. Live Work Protocol
The Service Provider adheres strictly to safety standards as outlined in AS/NZS 4836:2001 and relevant statutory regulations. Live electrical work will only be undertaken where it can be performed safely, with all necessary precautions in place. Where necessary, temporary disconnection or isolation of circuits may be required. Any related costs may be added to the final invoice.
7. Shutdowns and Power Interruptions
1. Certain aspects of the Work, including but not limited to RCD testing, switchboard inspections, and commissioning procedures, may require temporary power shutdowns to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and the integrity of the installation.
2. The Service Provider will provide reasonable notice to the Client prior to any planned shutdowns, wherever practicable.
3. It is the Client’s responsibility to notify any occupants, tenants, or affected parties of these temporary interruptions and to make any necessary arrangements to mitigate disruption.
4. While every effort will be made to minimise downtime, the Service Provider shall not be held liable for any inconvenience, loss of productivity, or consequential damages resulting from necessary service interruptions.
5. Should specific shutdown windows be required by the Client (e.g., outside business hours or on weekends), these must be arranged in advance and may be subject to additional charges.
6. In environments where power continuity is critical (e.g., data centres, medical facilities, commercial kitchens), the Client must advise the Service Provider prior to commencement of work so that appropriate coordination and shutdown planning can occur.
7. Exclusions
1. Movement or relocation of furniture, appliances, or any obstructions is not included in the quoted scope.
2. Unless specifically itemised, building works such as core drilling, structural penetrations, or installation of support systems are excluded.
3. Cosmetic finishing works, including painting, plastering, or other redecoration, are not included unless explicitly agreed upon.
4. Waste disposal, including removal of materials, packaging, and debris, is not included unless otherwise stated.
8. Variations and Additional Work
All variations or additional works outside the original scope must be documented and agreed upon in writing prior to commencement. Such works may incur additional charges, including labour and material costs.
9. Pricing Terms
1. The quoted Price assumes clear and uninterrupted access to the work site during standard business hours (7:00am to 5.00pm, Monday through Friday).
2. Work performed outside these hours, or under non-standard conditions, may attract premium rates.
3. Any work not explicitly included in the initial quotation will be charged at the prevailing hourly rate plus materials.
4. All prices quoted will advise of the inclusive or exclusive GST amount.
5. Quotations remain valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
10. Building Regulations Compliance
All work will comply with applicable Building Regulations as required at the time of execution. If the Client requests any deviation from regulatory compliance, such instruction must be given in writing and recorded by the Service Provider. The Service Provider reserves the right to decline any such request.
11. Risk and Title
1. Risk in all goods supplied shall pass to the Client upon delivery or installation.
2. Title to all goods remains with Voltikon until full payment has been received.
3. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the property remains insured for the duration of the installation.
12. Warranty
Installation work performed by Voltikon is warranted to be free from defects for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of invoice. This warranty excludes:
• Items not supplied by Voltikon,
• Damage caused by third parties, or
• Any modification or interference with the original installation.
13. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment in full is due within 30 days upon completion of the specified works. For projects exceeding thirty (30) days in duration, stage payments may be requested in accordance with an agreed payment schedule.
14. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute arising under this agreement, the parties agree to engage in mediation as the preferred method of resolution prior to initiating any legal proceedings.
15. General Provisions
1. The Client shall provide access to sanitary facilities and basic site amenities for service provider personnel at no cost.
2. The Client shall notify service provider personnel of any relevant site-specific safety procedures and any known hazards.
3. Voltikon representatives shall present in Voltikon uniform and be equipped with the necessary tools of trade unless agreed otherwise.
4. Should any provision of this contract be deemed invalid or unenforceable, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
1. Definitions
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of thermal scanning services by Voltikon ("Service Provider," "We," "Our," "Us") to the client ("Client," "You"). By engaging in our thermal scanning services, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Service Overview
We offer thermal scanning services for electrical switchboards with three levels of service:

Coordination of important electrical loads with the Client or onsite electrician.
All activities conducted in a single-day visit.
Level 3: Full Service Thermal Scan + Advanced Load Measurement
Thermal scanning of electrical switchboards.
Measurement and record keeping of electrical loads during the time of the scan.
Full coordination of important and selected circuits/components.
Multiple site visits as required for proper execution and follow-up.
3. Client Responsibilities
The Client is responsible for ensuring safe access to all electrical switchboards and relevant areas required for thermal scanning.
The Client must notify the Service Provider in advance of any specific circuits or components they wish to have prioritized or inspected.
The Client is responsible for the coordination with any onsite electrician or personnel involved in the service process for Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 services.
4. Service Provider Responsibilities
The Service Provider will conduct the thermal scan, measurements, and record-keeping in accordance with the level of service agreed upon.
The Service Provider will provide professional recommendations based on thermal scan findings, but the final decision regarding any corrective action is the Client's responsibility.
For Level 3 services, the Service Provider will arrange and coordinate site visits as required to ensure comprehensive coverage of the service.
5. Thermal Imaging and Non-Electrical Scanning
1. The Service Provider may offer thermal imaging services to detect issues not limited to electrical faults, including but not limited to water ingress, insulation deficiencies, moisture intrusion, thermal bridging, and structural heat loss.
2. These inspections are non-invasive in nature and rely on temperature differentials captured by infrared technology. While they are highly effective as diagnostic tools, they are not definitive without supporting invasive testing.
3. Any thermal anomalies identified will be reported to the Client along with a professional interpretation of possible causes. It is the responsibility of the Client to undertake any follow-up investigation or remediation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Access to affected areas (e.g., roof cavities, behind cladding, or enclosed voids) must be arranged by the Client where required for effective imaging.
5. Environmental conditions such as wind, sunlight, humidity, and temperature differentials can impact the accuracy of thermal imaging. The Service Provider shall not be held liable for any misinterpretation resulting from such environmental limitations.
6. Where required, thermal scanning reports can be provided in digital format and may include annotated images, summary of findings, and recommendations. Additional charges may apply for formal reporting, depending on the scope.
6. Scheduling & Cancellation
All services will be scheduled in advance. The Client must confirm the time and date of the service at least 3 days before the intended visit.
Cancellations or rescheduling of service appointments must be made at least 2 days in advance. Failure to do so may incur a cancellation fee.
7. Payment Terms
Payment for services is due within 30 days of invoice.
Service fees are charged according to the level of service selected by the Client. Pricing for each service level will be provided prior to service commencement.
Late payments may incur additional charges, and the Service Provider reserves the right to suspend further services until payment is received.
8. Liability & Limitation
The Service Provider is not liable for any damages resulting from pre-existing electrical issues or those identified during the scan that are outside the scope of the service.
The Client agrees to hold the Service Provider harmless for any liability, injury, or damage arising from equipment malfunctions, errors, or omissions beyond the thermal scan process.
The Service Provider is not liable for any interruption of the Client’s business during the service, unless caused by the Service Provider’s negligence.
9. Confidentiality
Any sensitive information shared during the service process, including load measurements or electrical configurations, will be treated as confidential.
The Service Provider agrees not to disclose any proprietary information to third parties unless required by law or with the Client’s express consent.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement in writing at any time, subject to payment for services already rendered and any outstanding fees.
Termination of services by the Client after the scan has been initiated will not result in a refund.
11. Warranty Disclaimer
The thermal scan service is performed based on visual assessment of the switchboards and electrical systems at the time of service.
The Service Provider does not warrant or guarantee the future performance of electrical systems based on the thermal scan results.
11. Acceptance
By engaging our thermal scanning services, the Client acknowledges and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
